I woke up with ENERGY and MOTIVATION! I have to blog this because this is a huge milestone in my pregnancy! I can't even tell you the last time I felt good enough to give my whole house a scrub down. (Don't judge...Aust has been keeping it picked up!) The last few weeks have been really great, I don't hate food as much, I don't need a 2+ hour nap every day just some days and have had energy to actually do things. Oh, and today I'm 12 weeks and my babe is 2 inches long :)
Also, I've been working on lots of things for the wedding and it's finally all coming together! Talk about glitter alllll over my house. Worth it? Yes. 2 months and counting...
All in all, I'm one happy girl.

10.5 weeks
I've loved seeing these little questionnaires on other people's blogs, and I think it'll be fun to look at down the road. Picture to come soon.
Gender (predictions): My brain is convinced it's a girl (I think mostly cause that's what I want), and Aust thinks it's a boy (obviously). Most everyone thinks it's a girl.. We'll see! Also, after my Grammy passed her sister found some material she was going to use to make a baby blanket and never got the time, so LaRae started it about 2 weeks before I found out I was preggo for the next to have a baby...which happens to be me!... and it's PINK. Just sayin!
How far
along are you? 10 1/2 weeks
Total weight gain: Down one pound. Due to nothing sounding good
How big is the baby?: About the size of a green olive. 1 1/4 inches long and a quarter of an ounce (crazy tiny!)
Maternity
clothes: No, but I do prefer being in comfys as often as possible
Stretch
marks?: No :) I'm hoping for none! I got stretch mark cream the day I found out and use it twice a day. Fingers crossed!
Sleep: Depends on the night. Sometimes it's hard to get comfortable. Oh, and I can't sleep in anymore which is weird but probably good to get used to.
Best
moment this week: Our 10 week appointment! We got to see our little tiny and he/she was moving around like crazy!
Movement: None that I can feel.
Food
cravings: Changes almost weekly but thus far it's been: oranges, smoothies, strawberry milk, most any fruit, soft serve vanilla ice cream cones....and Taco Amigo. Good thing there isn't Taco Amigo in St. George
Food aversions: More than I can list sadly. I hate food lately! Biggest thing is eggs before 10 am
Just sayin!
Pregnancy symptoms: Mood swings, tired exhausted, hating food and eating child size portions, sore tatas, occasional nausea (sooo thankful this is only on occasion), and last but not least...pregnancy brain. I cannot think clearly and am so forgetful it's annoying!
Labor
signs: No way Jose
Belly
button in or out: In
What I
miss: Energy, motivation, normal emotions and sometimes coffee.
What I'm
looking forward to: Finding out the gender, starting to show (instead of this little chub), and getting some ENERGY back

Baby Christensen
Isn't that an awesome due date?!?We're beyond thrilled about our latest news. Over the last few weeks I've felt like I couldn't blog because the biggest thing going on in our lives is the news of this tiny babe, and we wanted to wait to share the news until we went to the doc (to make sure there really was a babe in there!) and to get our due date.
So, it's official!
We just had our 10 week appointment. The baby is developing right on track, about the size of a green olive. We got to take a peek to see the fluttering heart beat, and I think this baby is going to be an athlete...it was moving around like crazy!
Now it feels more real. Up until now I've been like..."is there really a baby in there??"
So far I've loved being pregnant. I haven't been sick hardly at all except a few waves of nausea here and there, just mostly tired. Aust and I have read every single thing there is to read about pregnancy and babies and we just can't wait to meet our baby.
I'm so grateful for Austin. He's been so patient with my mood swings, all these new crazy eating habits, and done the majority of the cooking and cleaning while I lay around. I love him and couldn't ask for a better daddy to our babe <3

Let me rewind a week. Last Wednesday was my day off and Austin and I decided to go hiking and shed hunting. We made the bet that whoever found the first horn would get a surprise date. I never win these bets. Tuesday night we went to sushi and during dinner I just kept looking at him and thinking how lucky I am to have him. The date continued the next morning when we went to get a couple's massage. We LOVED it! We went to Red Robin for lunch and out of nowhere I said, "I feel like I should take a prego test". Austin clapped and said yes! But then we figured that February was a short month so I was probably just freaking myself out.
That night Austin went to school and I headed to the store for dinner stuff and just randomly decided to pick up a test. He had no idea. I took the test as soon as I got home and just knew it would say not pregnant. Much to my surprise.... it said PREGNANT! WHAT?!?!? I stared at myself in the mirror with my hand over my mouth...totally movie style. And then I just started pacing my house. I wanted Austin to be there so bad and at that moment I wished I had waited for him to take the test. My first instinct was to call Cherie. I said, "I just took a prego test". She started freaking out how happy and excited she was and I was crying, totally overwhelmed with a million emotions, but mostly excited! Right then Austin randomly texts me and says, "did you get a test?" I told him I'd just wait for the weekend to see what happens. Little did he know I was freaking out in the kitchen. I was trying to make dinner but I couldn't concentrate and just kept crying.
I've always dreamed about this day and it was nothing like I expected. It was better. I found a cute little poem to give to Aust and then it was a waiting game. He called me after class like he always does and the first thing he says is, "Hi preggie!" lol I was dying! I just played it off and said you wish! So I set up the video camera and waited for him to get home. He started reading the poem and I started crying. He was in total shock and thought the end of the poem would say JUST KIDDING! What a sick joke! haha he couldn't believe it. In fact, neither of us could believe it so we took another test, and it too was positive.
We spent the night in total shock; laughing and hugging and googling (of course). Although I am scared shit-less, I am already so in love with this tiny human growing inside of me. I can't wait to enjoy being pregnant, this is such an amazing feeling!
Here is how we shared the news with the fam:
We debated on telling our families in person but we just couldn't wait that long so we made this video and mailed it to them. It was so perfect... my momma cried, his parents had the video for like 4 days before watching it.... totally not knowing what it was.... and I was sooo anxious for them to watch it. They finally did and were super excited for their first grand baby :)
My dad had all the babies sleeping at his house when he got the video and as they were watching it my dad was reading all the signs and he says, "HANNAH'S PREGNANT!" and instantly Aysha started jumping up and down clapping and they all joined in. Then Hunter says, "What's pregnant?" and my dad says she's having a baby! And they all started cheering and jumping and clapping again. They called me and my dad was so happy he was in tears and I was in tears, we were just laughing at the kids and their reaction. It was the best reaction by far. They kept saying yay another cousin!! My dad said they must've watched the video 100 times that night and insisted on watching it again first thing in the morning. Adorable right??
